Rami Muth served as Superintendent of the Martinez Unified School District for 8 years until her retirement in June of 2016 closing a 40 year career in education. She developed and implemented a compelling vision of 21st century teaching and learning that supported the academic achievement for all students. Known as an innovative leader Rami brought important resources to the district by forging strong, positive relationships with the community and many outside agencies including the City of Martinez.
After retirement, Rami continues to support the educational community serving as an educational consultant providing professional development and coaching support for Superintendents. She has served on the Executive Board of #hersmile since 2016. She is a passionate advocate of Social and Emotional Learning and has been instrumental in bringing the Choose Love curriculum to students throughout Contra Costa County in order to create safe, positive learning environments for all students.
She and her husband David live in Benicia. Spending time with their children and grandchildren, traveling, reading, cooking and community service are interests that give her life purpose and joy.
